A member of the public helped a police officer to restrain a teenager who was seen kicking wing mirrors off of cars in a Norfolk town.
Members of the public called the police at around 4.20pm on Sunday after a 17-year-old was seen causing criminal damage to cars on Queen’s Road in Fakenham.
When an officer attempted to restrain the suspect he was assaulted but given support by a member of public.
Taking to Twitter after the incident, PC Jon Parker thanked the member of public and said he had started his shift by filing an, ‘assistance from a member of public form’.
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, assaulting a police officer and a public order offence but later released under investigation pending further enquiries.
