The new owner of Hollywood Central Cinema in Fakenham is hoping to boost the town's economy by screening lunchtime films on market day.
Director Gary Stevens believes that by showing the latest movie releases on Thursdays from March 5, it will retain visitors to the town for longer and help boost the area's numbers.
“The cinema plays a vital role in the community and I feel this will sustain footfall in the region, especially when we are attracting better figures on a Thursday.
“Normally the cinema outside of school term operates screenings early evening and evenings only. However, the cinema, situated opposite the stalls in Market Place, is ideally placed for people to have a rest bite after shopping and enjoy a movie before returning home.”
All seats for the screenings will be 3.99, compared with the normal price of 6, and will start around 1pm.
