Woodspring House in Fakenham celebrates a different country every month to entertain its residents and staff.

This month they celebrated Germany’s famous Oktoberfest.

Hosted by Amy Reynolds, Woodsprings’ activity leader, the home was decorated with German flags, and festival decorations and balloons.

The residents spoke about their own memories of visiting the country, as well as sampling some of the nation’s food and drink prepared by the cooks.

They were then entertained with some famous oompah music.

Betty Brown, 92, said: “I had the best day. I especially loved the oompah music.”

Management at Woodspring said: “We wanted to do something fun and different with our residents and staff, and they all thoroughly enjoyed it.”
