We don't have many hills or much snow, but that hasn't stopped one Norfolk skier from securing a place in the British national squad.
Will Feneley has been selected for the British Freestyle Moguls squad at the age of 17 after putting in strong performances in a series of competitions.
Mr Feneley, from Shereford, near Fakenham, travels to Australia next week for an intensive full-time training programme.
He is targeting a place in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.
Mr Feneley said: 'It's great news and a really big step up for me.
'I've had a good year so far and it's good progress.
'I'm now going to be able to get a licence which will allow me to compete in World Cups and World Championships.
'If I compete in those and make the criteria then I can go to the Winter Olympics, which I couldn't do previously.
'The qualification period for the next Olympics is at the end of January 2018 but I won't be taking part in any World Cups until March so I'm looking to qualify for the 2022 Olympics.'
Mr Feneley was picked for the squad because of his successes in the Europa Cup Moguls competitions and after representing Great Britain in moguls for the last three years at the Junior World Championships.
His passion for skiing began on a family holiday to Canada at the age of six.
Living in Norfolk has not held back his skiing career and he attributes much of his success to his many years with the Norfolk Snowsports Club.
He trains on dry slopes and at British camps in Europe.
Mr Feneley, who has just finished his A-levels with Fakenham Academy, said: 'I'm flying to Australia next week and with college over I'll be able to start a full-time training programme which will last until November.
'I'll then head to America to compete in the North American Cup and after that I plan to compete in 'World Cups in Europe.'
He added: 'I get such a thrill from skiing and every run can be different.
'It's great to be travelling all over the world doing what I love and meeting different people and I hope to one day get a full-time career from skiing.'
