Sue Ryder has opened a store specialising in used baby and children’s clothes, toys and nursery items at 24 Norwich Street.
Thetford town crier Mike Wabe did the honours when it opened on Saturday morning, proclaiming it was full of bargains.
Money raised will support hospice care at the charity’s Thorpe Hall Hospice.
Area manager Jo Panks said: “We’re trying to fill a niche in Fakenham, we know there’s lots of schools and lots of families.”
She added the shop was on the lookout for volunteers.
