A big investment for Fakenham shop front has inspired others to spruce up.
The Market Towns Initiative by North Norfolk District Council funded Fakenham town council over £24,000 in January to renovate four shops in the town - Martha and Me, The Larder, Benbows and Tudor Tea Room.

Richard Lynam, who runs the initiative for the council, said: "I do not believe that the scheme is responsible for it. But since we made a bit of a fuss over these four shops, more refurbishment and repainting has gone on than before. I'm not saying it because of the scheme but it is coincidental."
The council has been granted a further £2,000 to finish renovating The Larder and Martha and Me on Norwich Street, which needs rotting wood replacing.
Work cannot start until the freezing weather passes. There is hope for January 2020, but work might not be completed until the spring.
