The road, linking Swaffham and Fakenham, will have temporary traffic lights from September 10 to September 12, as cable works by Openreach are carried out.

The works will take place between 8am and 4.30pm, with traffic restrictions being cleared when work is not taking place. Their location will move along the highway as works progress, between the junction toward Shereford in Toftrees, and the junction for Green Lane, Pudding Norton.

A spokesperson for Openreach said: "The works are to install new fibre infrastructure in the area and to allow the engineers installing the equipment to work safely, as the cable will be in the highway or close to it in places."

The works follow a series of cabling works in the area aiming to increase internet speeds. Delays are expected along the busy road, though works may finish before September 12.
