A sea-themed poetry festival which will feature a number of special guests is set to be held in north Norfolk.

Sea Fever 2 will take place from Friday, May 10 to Sunday, May 12 and will be staged in the main complex of Wells Maltings.

It is the successor to the long-established Poetry-next-the-Sea festival, which was founded in the town, and will feature a number of special guests such as Sir Andrew Motion, who last came to Wells in the days when he was poet laureate.

Other poets set to give readings include Sally Festing, Elaine Stewart, Rebecca Watts, Norfolk's own Kevin Crossley-Holland and long-standing Wells resident and founder of satirical TV show Spitting Image, Roger Law.

Festival co-director David Waller said: "We hope that this festival will reflect the very special nature of this strip between the land and the sea."

Tickets for the festival are on sale via the Wells Maltings Visitor Information Centre, by phone on 01328 710885 or online at www.wellsmaltings.org.uk.
