A seal pup had to be put down after it was found dehydrated on a Norfolk beach.
Seal and Shore Watch UK received a call from the lifeguards in Wells about a small pup that was almost lifeless.
They carried it off the beach and headed straight for the vets knowing that the pup, who had a swollen muzzle and a mouth infection, was dehydrated and her organs were closing down.
Sadly, she was put to sleep almost immediately on arrival. It happened at about 6.50pm on Tuesday, July 23.
