The Met Office warns of localised flooding and difficult driving conditions.
The warning began at 12pm today - Friday, September 18 - and will be in place until 7pm this evening.
It says there could be localised surface flooding and difficult driving conditions.
About 20mm of rain could fall within an hour in some parts of the county.
The Met Office said: “Heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely across East Anglia this afternoon, possibly becoming focused into a slow moving band for a time during the mid to late afternoon.”
