The shadow home secretary is to visit north Norfolk this evening.

Chris Grayling is going to Briston to discuss the problem of anti-social behaviour in the village.

North Norfolk's Conservative spokesman Trevor Ivory said: “The problem of rural crime, and anti-social behaviour in particular, are growing problems. Family breakdown, a lack of facilities for young people and little if any police presence on the streets of our villages are leading to increasing levels of vandalism and petty crime.”

Mr Grayling will meet parish councillors and other Briston residents during his visit. He will be shown the recent vandalism of the village's social club and will discuss how more support could be given to rural communities like Briston.
