A former Fakenham sixth form student has completed a leadership course after being sponsored by the Fakenham and District Rotary Club.

Tim Wayling, who is now studying at the University of East Anglia (UEA), was presented with certificates for the successful completion of the Rotary Youth Leadership Award at the Grafham Water Centre in Cambridgeshire.

The leadership scheme is coordinated by Rotary clubs throughout the world and gives young people the opportunity to compete in physical and intellectual tasks, as well as developing skills in leadership.

At the presentation Mr Wayling told club members about the skills he had gained, including personal development, leadership, project management and public speaking.

Fakenham and District Rotary Club will shortly be looking to sponsor another young person who has local connections to attend the next course in September 2018.
