Plans to build more large wind farms off the Norfolk coast go on show at a series of exhibitions next week.

Power firm Centrica wants to site turbines on Docking Shoal, around 10 miles north of Wells and 12 miles off the Lincolnshire coast. It claims the scheme would power nearly 350,000 homes.

Alan Thompson, Centrica head of renewables, said: “The next generation of wind farms are really starting to show what wind can deliver for the UK and it's really important that we engage with people in the area on the plans.”

Plans will be on show at Wells, in the Community Hall, Malting Room, from 12-7.30pm on Monday, January 26; followed by Kings Lynn Corn Exchange, 12-7.30pm on Tuesday, January 27; and Hunstanton Town Council Chamber 12-7.30pm on Wednesday, January 28.
