Fakenham Squash Club men’s first team had an excellent away win at the leaders of Division Three, defeating Wensum Lodge by four matches to one.
On two very cold slow courts, Fakenham had to work hard for the wins, as Norfolk under-19 Martin Jolley was pushed all the way in a tight match, before coming out on top.
The second match saw Bruce Bushell win 3-0 in a scrappy game against an awkward opponent.
Fakenham made sure of winning the match overall as county under-19 Adam Sinkins recorded a comfortable win in three legs and this was followed by a 3-1 win for Liam Brett, who lost the first leg but came back strongly.
The last match was the only game Fakenham lost on the night as Nick Todd-Hunter could not quite keep up with his opponent on a slightly slippery floor. Fakenham took 17 points out of the match to move up to second place in the table.
