Wells Town have suffered a major blow prior to the start of the new football season. Daniel Grocott, joint player of the season last campaign, suffered a fracture to his leg during a pre-season friendly last week.
He will be in plaster for up to six weeks, a major blow to the Seasiders’ plans as they prepare for life back in the top flight of the Anglian Combination after gaining promotion.
Grocott joins joint-manager Colin Rutland on the sidelines, Rutland having fractured his leg during a Motocross event.
All at the club wish the duo well and speedy recoveries.
The next match for the Seasiders will be Tuesday night when Poringland visit Beach Road 7.30pm.
