She won the women's single title for the first time, beating Suzanne King, then went on to be part of the winning Stratford Cup team alongside Brian Ledgerwood and Guy Wright.

She was a member of the ladies' fours team, together with Pam Frary, Sheila Cox and Louise Hannant, who took the county title the following day in a tough four-hour match against Shotford by 26-11 at the County Arts rink in Norwich.

Suzanne King was not only part of the ladies' triples team, alongside Linda Ward and Maureen Emment, but also won the mixed pairs with Paul Shackcloth, and the mixed triple plate competition with Josie Wright and husband Mervyn King. She captained the winning team in the mixed triples league.

Linda Ward, apart from her ladies' triples win, with MaureenEmment also took the club pairs' title and won the county title the following day against Wymondham Dell by 25-19.

Jamie Chestney who, at the age of 22, already has an impressive international record, took the men's singles title and Sam King, following in the footsteps of his long-time international father, Mervyn, was the winner of the men's under-25 title.

The ladies' county A team, captained by Louise Hannant, gained promotion to Division One after relegation last year. Their performance gained them the club's coveted Rose Bowl award.

The club's team achievement award went to Don Bridge's team which won both division three of the Evening League and also the division's Knock-out Cup, whilst Josie Wright, the ladies' secretary, was awarded the Negus Personality Cup. She has been ladies' secretary for 15 years and was the first lady to win this trophy in its 10-year existence. She followed in the footsteps of husband, Johnny, the club's former president, who was presented with the trophy last year.
