FAKENHAM Sports Centre played host to the first ever golf festival to be held by the Fakenham Cluster of Primary Schools.
Fakenham Junior, West Rayham, Sculthorpe, Little Snoring, Blenheim Park, All Saints, Rudham and Astley were all in attendance. A dozen Fakenham College students were placed in charge of the stations. This took the total number of pupils being involved at the event to over 100. Matthew Whitaker, School Sports Co-ordinator (SSCo) from the high school, was extremely grateful to Jill Bullimore, SSCo from Cromer and North Walsham, who organised the afternoon activities.
“The college students did a marvellous job and I hope that some young people have been inspired to take up golf at their local golf club,” he said.
