The Gallow men's A team completed a big win against Diss A in the National Men's Fours Denny Cup and now play Pinewood Park.
Home rinks: R High, R Nurse, S Lowe, J Chestney won 44-12; P Murfit, S King, V Hudson, M Riches won 27-11. Away rinks: A Howell, S Savory, M Starkey, R Mason won 31-13; M Wilkinson, A Walton, P Shackcloth, M King won 31-20. Gallow won 133-56.
The ladies' B team, playing away against the Norfolk Bowling Club (Red team) in the National Mason Trophy, won 43-27.
G Savory, D James, D Ramm, S Burlingham won 26-13; E Fickling, R Owen, M Bowyer, J Green won 17-14.
Playing away against Old Hall (Ashill) the ladies' team lost in a closely-fought league match by just two shots 45-47.
C Lincoln, K Hall, S Burlingham lost 5-16; D James, M Whiteside, D Ramm won 23-14; M Fulcher, M Bowyer, B Graver lost 9-10; E Fickling, D Tuck, G Savory won 8-7.
The ladies' B team again playing a league match away against Lakeside Grebes won 57-49 (6-2 ).
M Fulcher, D Tuck, D Ramm lost 11-13; T Barraclough, K Hall, J Green lost 13-17; E Fickling, M Whiteside, R Owen won 14-11; C Lincoln, R Goold, S Burlingham won 19-8.
There are vacancies for both adults and juniors in the Gallow bowls coaching sessions. Why not give it a try? You will receive a warm welcome and be able to enjoy the friendly environment.
Bowls and other equipment are supplied, or bring your own. Dress is optional. Come and join in the club's success.
