SIXTY players including 10 professionals participated over 27 holes in the Alliance's first competition of the season at Fakenham GC and were very complimentary on the playing conditions of the course.

SIXTY players including 10 professionals participated over 27 holes in the Alliance's first competition of the season at Fakenham Golf Club and were very complimentary on the playing conditions of the course.

Fakenham captain Mark Shannon presented the prizes and expressed the club's pleasure in hosting the Alliance.

Professionals: Ryan Pudney (Royal Cromer) 106 gross, Neil Lythgoe (Royal Norwich) 108, Danny Chapman (Weston Park) 108.

Pairs Betterball: Ryan Pudney and Richard Rouse 61 pts, Stephen Mitchell and Danny Chapman 59, Mark Shannon and Craig Butler 58, Paul Millkin and John Payne 58, Chris Hacon and Robin Peel 57, Neil Lythgoe and Trevor Cave 57, Philip Moore and Robert Hood 57.

Seniors captain Chris Baynes presented the trophies and expressed his appreciation at the excellent turnout for the Seniors Championship.

Overall club champion: Glen Robertson 89-20-69, runner-up Colin Holmes 86-16-70. Over 65's champion: Rob Charles 92-21-71, runner-up Harry Grand 87-15-72.
