The Junior National Archery Championships on 2nd and 3rd July were a successful event this year for young Norfolk archers.

Jamie Fisher, 17, from Corpusty, who is a member of Fakenham Junior Bowmen won both days competition to become the overall Junior Gents Recurve Champion. Jamie is a member of the Great Britain squad and later this year will represent Great Britain at the Junior World Championships.

Stephanie Jackson, 17, from East Lexham, who is also a member of Fakenham Junior Bowmen won her category to become the Junior Ladies Under 18 Recurve Champion.

There were other successes for Joe Ground, 12, who is a member of Thorpe Hamlet Juniors Archery Club and finished third in his category both days, and for Sophie Farrow, 13, from Taverham Archers who finished third in her category in the National Championship round on the Sunday.

All the Norfolk archers who took part shot very well with many putting in personal best scores.
