Evergreens win race against time
Saturday saw Fakenham Evergreens II's first game of the weekend, a back-to-back game, enabling them to get the league finished on time.Their penultimate game of the season was against Breckland at Watton where a win was needed to secure Evergreens II's place in Division II of the Norfolk Women's League.

Evergreens got off to the perfect start with Sue Murfit scoring from a short corner taken by Trudi Moulton. Breckland responded with a sustained period of pressure, but Evergreens defended well with keeper Yvonne Clipston making some fine saves.
Fakenham started the second-half strongly looking for a second goal, Sam Turner, Annie McCourt and Ellie Lynn all going close.

The pressure paid when Trudi Moulton beat the keeper with a well-placed shot from a short corner that Breckland failed to clear. Evergreens held firm for a thoroughly deserved victory.
Sunday saw Fakenham travel to Harriers to play on grass at Pulham Market. Another re-shuffled team due to Sam Turner's bad foot injury from Saturday and a late call-off saw keeper Clipston play in defence, first time for years, with first team keeper Keri David in goal.

On a muddy, bumpy pitch decent hockey was not possible, Brilliant pace from youngster Chantelle Baker on the left wing left Harriers amazed. It enabled Tracey Brain to slot home goal No 1. Fakenham's second goal came from good work from Ellie Lynn on
the right wing and Nicola Moulton whose cross resulted in Brain's second goal.
Second half, Harriers pressurised Greens who kept out many short corners and were rewarded with yet another goal from Brian to complete her hat-trick.
Trudi Moulton was presented with a bouquet from the team for her tireless work keeping the second XI together over the season.
