Fakenham cricketers endured a frustrating weekend with all Saturday's games washed out and Sunday's Bob Carter Cup tie at Saham Toney resulting in a walk-over. “They couldn't raise a side,” said the Fakenham club's director of cricket Colin Brassett.

“It was very disappointing after Saturday's wash-out, not to get any cricket.”

The only exception was the Sunday side in the Mid Norfolk Challenge Cup who beat Norwich Bystanders by 10 wickets after they bowled them out for 88.

This weekend's fixtures sees the EAPL side looking to get clear of the bottom spot when they travel to Clacton. The Alliance Division Two side entertains North Runcton A.
