BOWLS: Playing in the All-England Finals at Northampton, Norfolk U25 double rinks team which included Fakenham Gallow players lost to Dorset in the final.
Gallow players in the Norfolk team were Jamie Chestney, Sam King, and Shaun Savory. Danny Cawthorne was a reserve.
This Sunday, Norfolk U25 play Cambridge U25 starting at 10am at the Gallow Indoor Bowls Club.
The Gallow Ladies’ A team played away against Diss Ladies A and lost on aggregate by 11 shots, 44-55 (2-6 on points).
L Ward, P Jarvis, M Emment won 17-10. P Frary, L Hannant, C Bell won 10-9. A Leverett, J Wright, P Frost lost 12-14. J Rix, S Cox, V Howe lost 5-22.
The Gallow Men’s B team lost to Acle Men’s C at Acle 70-106 (2-5).
R Morgan, B Barker, H Kirby, R Howell won 22-19. R Preston, S Walker, B Dickinson, B Hubbard won 20-18. I Routh, J Biggs, D Thody, K Mallett lost 15-31. A Pearson, L Leverett, T Beeston, K Frohawk lost 13-38.
