Fakenham Rugby Club record battling win
Fakenham 19, Wymondham II 12
Fakenham won this Norfolk Merit League Division One fixture but not without a battling performance from the Wymondham team.
Winger Gee crossed the line under the posts in the 25th minute, leaving an easy conversion for Tom Bane-Young. Eight minutes later, Suswain touched down under pressure from the Wymondham defence. Bane-Young kicked the goal from wide out near the touchline to make it 14-0.
Wymondham scored under the posts and added a conversion, but Bob Sayers drove from a breakdown to score a try, making it 19-7 at half-time.
Wymondham scored an unconverted try in the second half but Fakenham held on to win.
