Fakenham Squash Club have clinched the Norfolk League Division Three title in style after they finished the season unbeaten.

Having to get their last two matches played in the final week of the season, captain Bruce Bushell put two sides out on the same night.

The away game saw a Fakenham victory by four matches to one as wins for Adam Sinkins, Nick Todd-hunter, Bruce Bushell and Martin Jolley saw off Norwich side East Anglia’s fifth team, with the only defeat on the night a 3-2 loss for Nicky Green.

At Fakenham, the two remaining first team players, Liam Brett and Ian Raisbury, were joined in the team by second team players Nick Fairbrother, Martin Dack and Sam Lanham. They didn’t let the team down, as all three players won, to defeat Cromer’s second team.

Fakenham’s second team face a play-off to take second place in Division Four, with a match against Norwich side Oasis coming up.
