Sixteen-year-old Adam Sinkins (in the white top) and 15-year-old Connor Doy both played in the recent East Regional Closed Championship at Bishop Stortford Squash Club. Both finished within the top 15 for the eastern region that covers the six counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge, Middlesex, Essex and Hertfordshire.

On the strength of their performances, they have been selected for the Norfolk U17 squash team and also to make the step-up into the Fakenham men's squash team.

Both Adam and Connor have been playing for around two to three years at the very popular junior section of Fakenham Squash Club.

Chairman and coach Bruce Bushell said: “For their age, they are the two strongest juniors I have seen playing at Fakenham.”

He added that they have shown a real commitment to working at improving their game play and technique and are always looking for new players of all ages to compete with.
