Fakenham Town underlined their promotion credentials with a superb win at Thurlow Nunn League Division One North leaders Harleston Town on Saturday.
A goal just before half-time from Alex Walpole earned the Ghosts an eye-catching 1-0 victory that made it five straight league wins - and 10 games unbeaten in all competitions.
Still to lose in 2019, Andy Cunningham’s side have moved up to third in the table and are now just six points behind second placed Mulbarton Wanderers with a game in hand.
Harleston are a further three points better off, having played the same number of games as the Ghosts.
Fakenham will be aiming to keep up the good work on Saturday when they welcome 12th placed Cornard United to Clipbush Park (3pm).
