Fakenham Town maintained their excellent run of form with a hard-fought 1-0 win over AFC Sudbury Reserves on Saturday.
A tight game at Clipbush Park was settled by a 10th minute goal from Ryan Curtis who smashed home from 10 yards after good work from Callum Brain and Alby Matthews.
Matthews then missed a 34th minute penalty but it didn’t prove costly as the Ghosts saw out the game to make it 13 points from a possible 15 in Division One of the Thurlow Nunn League.
Fakenham, now up to sixth in the table, will be hoping to extend that impressive sequence on Saturday when they visit at Felixstowe and Walton Reserves side who are second from bottom after taking just six points from their opening 13 fixtures.
The Ghosts are also in action next Tuesday evening, with near neighbours Swaffham Town the visitors in the League Challenge Cup (7.45pm).
