Fakenham Under-16s made a dramatic comeback in their opening game of the season in the Norfolk Combined Youth League to beat Long Stratton 4-2 at Clipbush Park.

Mark Argent’s first game as manager started well but despite having most of the early play it was Long Stratton who led 2-0 as they headed to half-time.

Fakenham had many chances to get on to the score sheet and when they hit the crossbar the manager must have thought it wasn’t going to be their day. But as half-time approached Suleman headed home to pull a goal back and give Fakenham hope.

As the second half began Long Stratton seemed to be struggling with the pace and size of the pitch and when Jarvis was moved from right back to right wing Fakenham began to take control.

The hosts soon added a second goal from Suleman. A third goal came from Kirby before Visser scored in the closing stages to complete the scoring.
