Fakenham Falcons retained their Norfolk Under-19 Club T20 title with a convincing 10 wicket win over the Ashmanhaugh & Barton Wanderers Spartans at Manor Park on Sunday.
Harry Bammant (50 not out) and Billy Buckingham (45 not out) helped Fakenham cruise to victory by 10 wickets inside 14 overs.
This was after Tom White (4-0-4-18) had led the way with the ball to help restrict the Spartans to 112-8, despite an excellent 42 from Shishir Bhatia.
In their semi-final Fakenham beat a youthful Swardeston Sharks side by 18 runs. The Falcons were indebted to Bammant for an excellent 53 not out before some good late hitting from Jamie Cook saw them set a total of 143-5.
Despite an excellent 51 not out from Will Kidner, the Sharks fell 18 runs short and were bowled out with three balls left in the innings, with Robert Hooton, Aaron Howell, Oscar Campbell and Callum Futter all in the wickets.
