Conservative Club A took a 6-3 advantage from the first leg onto their own table against Press Club, writes John Cushion.
The Press Club reeled off a succession of wins before Con Club stopped the rot by taking the first doubles to make the aggregate score 8-8.
The second doubles saw Con Club edge ahead before Press Club took the third to tie the score at 9-9.

In a close play-off, Richard McKay edged out Steve Bryer for Press Club to claim the trophy.
