Hindringham FC are celebrating being re-instated to the Premier Division of the Dolphin Autos Anglian Combination.
Despite a late seven-match rally which produced six wins and a draw, Hindringham finished second bottom in the top section and were facing a season back in Division One.
But with Lowestoft Reserves joining the Ridgeons section for reserve sides and Halvergate withdrawing, Hindringham were thrown a lifeline, explained their chairman Ian Gibson.
He said it had boosted pre-season spirits and made the side determined to make a better start to their campaign than last season, which was their first in the top flight.
Marcus Oliver will still be travelling from his job in Lincolnshire to manage the team, again assisted by Darryl Parsley.
The Villagers are training on Tuesdays at The Elms, starting at 6.45pm. For more information call chairman Ian Gibson on 07748808529.
