Gallow Bowls Club youngsters shine

The Gallow Mens A Team played Lynn Sport A Team in the Norfolk Premier League at home.

Captain Richard Mason included three junior members – Danny Cawthorne, Jake Biggs and Jack Wells – and they all played well. Gallow won the match 5-2, 70 shots to 61.

J Biggs, D Cawthorne, D Webb, M Riches won 19-8; J Wells, K Humphrey, D Taney, R Mason won 17-11; D Bix, W Graver, M Starkey, S King lost 19-21; R Preston, T Beck, D Vaughan, A Walton lost 15-21.

The Gallow Friendly Team played at home against Norfolk VPs and won 79-68.

T Barraclough, P Lloyd, J Barraclough, M Hubbard won 26-13; V Dickinson, C Dewing, B Dickinson, J Adams won 24-17; M Fulcher, E Graves, M Morter, A Fulcher lost 17-19; T Beckham, R Thody, G Day, D Thody lost 12-19.

Gallow Men’s B Team lost away to Lynn Sport in Division Five of the County League. D Powell, M Dunham, H Kirby, B Hubbard won 29-14. M Rayner, J Dye, B Dickinson, F Hazel won 24-23. I Routh, J Biggs, D Thody, K Mallett lost 14-20. R Morgan, J Wright, S Wilkinson, S Sole lost 6-29. Gallow lost 5pts to 2, 73 shots to 86. They now have one more game at home to play against Yarmouth B, and need six points to win the league.

The Gallow Friendly Team were away to the Lynn Sport Friendly Team and lost 84 shots to 124.
