November 8 saw the Anglian Region Junior League's triples event at Potters.

This was run in two age groups, up to 13, and 13 to 18. Gallow had entries in both sections for which there had been a total entry of 28 teams.

The competition was very strong and involved teams from around the Anglia region.

This year Gallow won the under-13 section with Alicia Segasby, Rhys Morgan and Jake Biggs. Last year they won the 13 to 18 group.

The competition was even harder this year but a creditable third place was achieved by Daniel Ballantyne, Dean Johnson and Daniel Cawthorne.

The juniors continue to perform well against players and teams from other clubs.

Their next event is the National

School of Excellence involving skills exercises which takes place over two days, followed by a round robin event, from which the best players will progress to the region at Cambridge.

If there are any young people who would like to try their hand at indoor bowls, just give Bryan Barnes (the Gallow junior coaching organiser) a call on 07921 887179.
