Gallow have strength in reserve

THE Gallow Men's A team have, for the second week in succession, beaten a top team.

With several players not available the reserve players did very well and the Gallow team won 5-2, 81 shots to 71 against Acle.

With several players not available the reserve players did very well and the Gallow team won 5-2, 81 shots to 71 against Acle.

Scores: D Rogers, K Humphrey, S Lowe, A Walton won 31-12. V Smith, J Piercey, L Seppings, P Shackcloth won 20-17. D Webb, D Hood, M Starkey, V Hudson lost 20-21. D Taney, G Riches, M Williamson, R Mason lost 10-21.

The team will again be without Mervyn King, who has been playing in the Welsh Open and is now in Australia for three weeks with the Commonwealth team.

Jamie Chestney has been to Hayley Island playing in the Champions of Champions where he lost in the semi-finals to Nicky Brett.

In the National Triples D Webb, V Hudson and M Riches won and now go through to play in the Zone Final.

The Gallow Ladies B team played Dereham Ladies at home in the league and won 7-1, 64 shots to 40.

Scores: G Savory, P Barraclough, D Ramm won 23-6. P Wright, G Horne, P Whitehead won 19-9. E Fickling, D Tuck, B Graver won 13-12. C Lincoln, R Sparkes, M Bowyer lost 9-13.
