Ghosts act as schools' host
FAKENHAM Town Football Club hosted a Year 3 and 4 football festival for the Fakenham cluster of primary schools. The club provided officials and refreshments during the afternoon.
FAKENHAM Town Football Club hosted a Year 3 and 4 football festival for the Fakenham cluster of primary schools. The club provided officials and refreshments during the afternoon.
Matt Whitaker, school sports co-ordinator from Fakenham High School, organised the event. His role is allowing primary schools, the high school and community clubs to all work together to achieve more sporting opportunities for pupils.
The afternoon provided some good football, and going into the final round of matches two teams could have won the competition.
A 'winner takes all' encounter between Blenheim Park and Astley saw Astley run out 4-1 winners to remain unbeaten all day. Blenheim were runners up with Fakenham A securing third spot.

Congratulations also went to Colkirk, Allsaints and Fakenham B who participated with great enthusiasm.
Thanks went to all the staff at the various primary schools for organising the event and bringing the children, and to Fakenham FC for hosting the event.
