FAKENHAM Town, denied a league game at Halstead on Tuesday night by the weather, face a busy Easter with a Saturday trip to Godmanchester and a Monday visit to Whitton.

With their improved form, the Ghosts still have a mathematical chance of avoiding the Ridgeons League's wooden spoon, but they must start turning draws into wins - converting chances into goals their nagging problem, writes John Cushion.

At Cornard on Saturday they led through a first-half goal from defender Lee Hyde following a corner but conceded an equaliser in the final quarter of the game.

“They way we are playing, we should have walked off with all three points,” said a slightly disappointed manager Wayne Anderson.

Fakenham Reserves lost 1-0 at home to Marlingford. On Saturday they entertain Freethorpe looking for their first league win.
