FAKENHAM U18 returned from March with an unbelievable 8-3 victory, Mcilveen scoring five goals.
With a number of players unavailable, Chase, Barnard, Elton and Vertigan were added to the travelling party. Fakenham kicked off and soon gave the March defence problems with Mcilveen looking very sharp. Ten minutes in, the young Ghosts took the lead through a Mcilveen header.
This galvanised March and they replied with two quick goals, but back came Fakenham with four goals before half-time, a Harris header, a Betts shot from 18 yards and Mcilveen completing his hat-trick, one being a penalty.
Fakenham conceded early in the second half but went on to dominate with further goals from a Broughton penalty and Mcilveen claiming two more. Mcilveen had an excellent game, full of effort and quality finishing, closely followed by the influential Harris and the ever-improving Bird whilst Felton defended well when Fakenham came under strong pressure.
