Wells took the match to Saturday's visitors and created several chances, Grocott scoring. By half-time Barker had equalised with a curling strike from distance.
Both sides struggled to create any real clear-cut chances, although Wells had an effort hacked off the goal line.
Wells were let off as the ball came back off the upright and was held by Armiger.
Wells travel to Sole Bay on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm.
Wells Reserves host Hindringham Reserves on Saturday, 2.30pm at Beach Road.
