AFTER a three-week lay off Hindringham returned to league action against one of the Anglian Combination championship favourites, and produced their worst performance since manager Darryl Parsley took over.

Having lost Jason West for the season, Hindringham had Tristan Defew returning from suspension.

Hindringham started slowly and could not get into gear. The Angels' attacking play pinned Hindringham back and they had no answer.

Walsham put cross after cross into the box, which Hindringham seemed to have under control.

But Hindringham kept giving the ball away, could not hold anything up, meaning the defence could not get out resulting in increasing pressure on the home side.

It allowed the North Walsham midfield two to pick everything up and run the game. Walsham scored late on in the first half, but not before West could have given Hindringham an undeserved lead.

Things did not improve in the second half, and Walsham scored three wonder goals and added a late fifth to round off a bad afternoon for Hindringham and the large crowd which turned up to witness an awful performance.

Next, joint top Sheringham away (kick-off 2.30pm), meet Bistro 12.45.
