Hindringham's battle against relegation from the Anglian Combination Premier Division goes to the last game on Saturday. They need to beat visitors Loddon (ko 2.30pm) and hope that Watton slip up against Cromer.
Hindringham entertained Blofield who, if they win all their remaining games, would win the league. Hindringham again called on the services of Guy Elliot in goal. Craig East was banned and Timmy Walpole went down with the flu.
Hindringham started well against a confident Blofield side who attacked with pace and purpose. Hindringham lost Hood early on through injury, replaced by manager Parsley. They battled well and tried to create chances against a stubborn Blofield back line. Blofield gained control and scored after Hindringham did not react when the ball came back off the bar. Hindringham's Chilvers sent a free-kick, which the keeper did well to palm away for a corner. Then, right on the stroke of half-time Blofield scored, which knocked the stuffing out of the home side.
Hindringham tried hard to break down the Blofield defence, but were not able to create a chance of any note as Blofield won 3-0.
