Little joy for Fakenham sides

Fakenham Town continue their Ridgeons One programme with a trip to fourth-placed FC Clacton on Saturday before they return to Clipbush Park Tuesday night to entertain Downham.

Fakenham Town continue their Ridgeons One programme with a trip to fourth-placed FC Clacton on Saturday before they return to Clipbush Park Tuesday night to entertain Downham.

Saturday's 2-0 defeat at second-placed Hadleigh - the goals coming in the second half - was followed on Tuesday night by a 4-0 reverse at top-six outfit Debenham LC.

Downham offer a better chance of a fourth league win of the season for bottom club the Ghosts as they are in the bottom six.

Fakenham Reserves lost 5-2 at Hellesdon on Saturday and 3-2 at home to Acle Reserves on Tuesday night and, like the first team, are rooted to the foot of their division, Anglian Combination Division Two.

On Saturday the Reserves entertain entertain Norwich United Reserves (2.30pm).
