The latest round of the MRO Superstock 1000 Championship, held at Snetterton last weekend, proved to be a good one points-wise for Carl Nelson from Fakenham.

Because of delays on Saturday, qualifying was completed on Sunday morning, with Nelson qualifying third on the grid.

He put in a good performance to come home third in this race, finishing a long way ahead of the next rider and achieving his personal best lap time for Snetterton.

There was heavy rain before the next race at the end of the day, and although the track was drying, the riders went out on wets.

Nelson got a great start to be in second place, and was making efforts to challenge the race leader. He lost a place at mid race distance and went in to third place. He kept up the pressure however, and reclaimed position to cross the line in second place, completing a pleasing weekend of racing with two trophies.

Nelson thanked everyone who went to support him over the weekend, as well as James Beck Auctions, MD Williamson Carpets Ltd, G Designs, Bale Engineering and the Great Eastern Motorcycle Club.

He can be contacted on 01328 862933 by any other potential sponsors.
