Nelson powers to good time
MOTORCYCLE RACING: Fakenham racer Carl Nelson competed in the latest penultimate round of the MRO Powerbike Championships at Brands Hatch at the weekend.
MOTORCYCLE RACING: Fakenham racer Carl Nelson competed in the latest penultimate round of the MRO Powerbike Championships at Brands Hatch at the weekend.
In Saturday's sprint race Nelson finished ninth but was given a 10 second penalty for a jump start, pushing him back to 14th.
In the first of Sunday's two races he quickly moved up into seventh position and achieved his personal best time at the circuit.
Race two saw Nelson holding third place for several laps before beaten into fourth place on the line by 0.03 seconds.
