School's table tennis triumph
Alderman Peel High School, Wells, representing the North Norfolk School Sport Partnership, has become county winner at the County School Sport Partnership under-13 girls' table tennis finals.
Alderman Peel High School, Wells, representing the North Norfolk School Sport Partnership, has become county winner at the County School Sport Partnership under-13 girls' table tennis finals.
Millie Lingwood, Evie Wright, Esther Neale and Laura Marsh played some fantastic matches to win the overall girls' section, in which five other partnerships also competed.
In another bonus for Alderman Peel, the boys' under-13 team also represented the NNSSP at the county finals and finished fifth.
Asa Saunders, partnership development manager for the NNSSP, said: “The girls from Alderman Peel High School deserved their success. This is the third county competition winner from the NNSSP in 2010. Alderman Peel High School has invested plenty of time in developing table tennis at the school and special thanks must go to school teacher Len Rowe and table tennis coach Chris Fuller for all their coaching support.”
