BOTH teams had to struggle with blustery conditions at Beach Road in this Anglian Combination Division One match.
Wells thought they had gone ahead as Edwards collected a poor clearance and his shot from distance hit a post and went into the net, but it was ruled out for offside.
Wells broke the deadlock on 30 minutes when an East free-kick eluded the visitors' defence and keeper to give the Seasiders the advantage.
Corton were back level on 34 minutes when Brown found the equaliser. Corton then went ahead after Dawes intercepted a back pass, giving Molyneux no chance.
Wells were back level straight from the start of the second period when Grocott found space and slotted home past a
stranded keeper.
A draw looked on the cards until a Bloomfield volley flew over the home defence and into the top corner.
Wells forced several corners to try and find the equaliser but Corton cleared any danger.
Wells Town travel to Caister on Saturday (kick-off 2pm).
Wells Reserves travelled to face high-flying Wymondham Reserves.
Chances were created for both sides but the hosts scored twice to kill off any Wells hopes of returning with any spoils.
Wells Reserves face Spixworth Reserves on Friday night at Beach Road (kick-off 7.30pm).
