THE Seasiders travelled the short distance to Clipbush Park to finish their season.

As early as the fourth minute Wells broke the deadlock when Grocott's accurate pass found Murfit, who turned and fired home past Bottomley.

Two minutes later Murfit added his and Wells' second when he collected another good through ball, this time from McCallum.

McCallum had the home keeper saving a fierce long drive as the visitors were looking dangerous.

Fakenham's Stockdale tried a long-range effort that flew wide of Fulford's upright and on the half-hour mark Murfit rattled the home bar. Minutes before the interval Cooper made a crucial tackle as Deighten found space.

Minutes into the second half Wells lost Cawston with a broken finger. They added a third when Griffin's free-kick was punched into the goal by Bottomley. Mills shot over when well placed with Macnab-Grieve also going close.

Cromer Reserves 3, Wells Reserves 0

WELLS Reserves made the mid-week trip to Cromer and gave a spirited performance.

At 1-0 down at the interval, with both Page and Stewart going close, the hosts added two further goals to take the spoils.

Wells Reserves 3, Loddon Reserves 0

THE Seasiders secured a good win. They started brightly and went ahead when Wick won the ball inside the Wells half and caught sight of the keeper well off his line and volleyed home from 55 yards.

Just before half-time Wells added a second when Somerton travelled goal bound and curled the ball home from distance.

A good four-man move saw Palmer heading home Wells third and the points secured.

Wells Reserves' last fixture is on Saturday at home to Easton at 2.30pm.

Wells U11s welcomed Reffly to the Beach Road for their final game of the season and won 1-0.

Playing against the unbeaten Reffly, Wells knew they had to be at their best to get anything out of this tough encounter. Straight from the start both teams went for it, playing at a fast pace. Both teams' defences were well on top, Luke was being kept quiet.

Adam dealt with everything thrown at him, Harry and the outstanding Fletcher kept their forwards quiet.

The second half started as the first with end to end play, the Wells midfield of Jack, Dion and Brady starting to take control. Good link-up play allowed Jack to finish in style.

A fine all-round performance gave Wells an outside chance of winning the league. On the down side, a very sad day as this was the team's last league game together. A special thank you to the management of Phlis and Ian and referees Scottie and Suzie.

Team: Adam, Harry, Fletcher, Dion, Jack, Brady, Luke and Joe R.
