FAKENHAM junior squash teams enjoyed a very successful opening day in the first weekend of the second season of the county junior league.

Fakenham first team were hosts to Wymondham and a Norwich club, East Anglia second team, and the young Fakenham team of Adam Sinkins, Connor Doy, Leyton James and Jake Pearce all had wins as they destroyed the Norwich side by 16 points to one.

FAKENHAM junior squash teams enjoyed a very successful opening day in the first weekend of the second season of the county junior league.

Fakenham first team were hosts to Wymondham and a Norwich club, East Anglia second team, and the young Fakenham team of Adam Sinkins, Connor Doy, Leyton James and Jake Pearce all had wins as they destroyed the Norwich side by 16 points to one. This showed how much they have improved in the last few months as they had lost to the same team a few months ago.

Their second match went the same way with all four players winning as they beat the Wymondham side too.

The Fakenham second team were away in there first match at East Anglia and like their first team they were much too strong for the home side and the other visiting side Bannatynes with Sam Langan, Oli Bacon-Hilton, Andrew Black and Mark Croft all undefeated.

The only defeat on the day was Jamie Tuck who lost out in a very close match. The final score was a 4-0 to Fakenham verses East Anglia and 3-1 to Fakenham v Bannatynes. The next round of matches take place in February.
