THE Seasiders suffered a heavy defeat against a strong Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves side with the visitors' strength in depth proving the difference between the sides.

The Anglian Combination Division One visitors started the sharper and looked more likely to score as they pinned Wells back at regular intervals.

However, Wells were unlucky not to score the first goal as the keeper collected the ball as it rebounded off his bar.

French broke the deadlock on 25 minutes, Highfield added a brace and Henderson added a solo goal to kill off the match.

Wells Town travel to Corton on Saturday, 2.30pm.

Thorpe Rovers 5, Wells Town Reserves 0

Wells Reserves suffered a heavy defeat as they struggled to compete against Rovers, chances being created by both sides.

However, Rovers scored at regular intervals to secure the points.

Wells Reserves host Blofield Reserves on Saturday, 2.30pm.
