Fakenham 3, Thetford 2
THE Ghosts had gone 15 games without a win before Tuesday's success ahead of the last game of the season, home to Clacton on Saturday.
Again giving youth a chance, Fakenham breezed into a two-goal lead after 16 minutes. Mark Betts' low cross from the right after three minutes forced an own goal, then he cleverly hooked a shot from the right of the area across the keeper.
Lapses by the Ghosts' defence either side of half-time left it 2-2 before Jake Betts' free kick from wide right flashed through a forest of players for the winner.
On Saturday, at Brantham, the Ghosts were 1-1 at half-time (Karl Pask) before harshly losing 4-1.
Tomorrow's quiz night has been postponed.
